The most recently suspected son of Michael Jackson, Omer Bhatti, is denying reports that the late King of Pop was his biological father.

"Michael is not my father. He and I were just very, very close. He was my best friend," the paper says Bhatti imparted to a friend.

It was suspected that Bhatti, originally from Norway, was Jackson's illegitimate love child for years, stemming from an affair with the boys mother in 1983.

Bhatti and Jackson first met when he was 12, on vacation in Tunisia, reports U.K. paper The Mirror.

Jackson reportedly loved the boy and his family so much that he had them move to the Neverland Ranch, where he employed both of the boy's parents and often engaged in sleepovers with the Bhatti, the paper claims.

Bhatti and brood returned to Norway in 1994 at the start of Jackson's financial woe. And, although never claiming to be his son, was welcomed with the most immediate of family at Jackson's televised memorial.
