Bumping into a former flame can be embarrassing at the best of times.
But when an unsuspecting Cristiano Ronaldo was ambushed by his ex, it was truely excruciating.
Spanish model Nereida Gallardo came up on Ronaldo's blind side as the Real Madrid star, 24, left a Majorcan nightclub in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Nereida - who tattooed his initials on her wrist when they were together - yelled out: "But he's my ex-boyfriend!", but was brushed aside by security.
She then used her thumb and forefinger to make a gesture at her ex-love, who dumped her by text last year after a nine-month romance. She may have been saying "OK?" but in certain cultures that sign is far from friendly.
Ronaldo, no stranger to abuse every time he played away with Manchester United, grinned sheepishly, but otherwise ignored Nereida, 25, who also spilled the beans about him being a mummy's boy and waxing his chest.
An onlooker said: "Ronaldo didn't stop to chat."
