Come September 21, 2009 and Mark Dacascos & Tom DeLay will be competing for the crown in Dancing with the Stars. The other 14 participants include Aaron Carter, Natalie Coughlin, Macy Gray, Ashley Hamilton, Melissa Joan Hart, Kathy Ireland, Michael Irvin, Joanna Krupa, Chuck Liddell, Debi Mazar, Mýa, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond and Louie Vito.

Mark Dacascos is an Actor portrays "the Chairman" on Food Network’s television series Iron Chef America. His father, Al Dacascos, is from Hawaii. He is a martial arts instructor of Filipino, Spanish, and Han Chinese ancestry. His mother, Moriko McVey is of Irish and Japanese ancestry. He is married to actress Julie Condra, who starred with him in Crying Freeman.

Thomas Dale DeLay is a former member of the United States House of Representatives from Sugar Land, Texas. He was a Republican House Majority Leader from 2003–2005, when his high profile legal problems forced him to step down.

Dancing with the Stars will return for a ninth season on September 21, 2009 on a three-night premiere.Executive producer Conrad Green confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the 9th season would start off with 16 celebrities, with 3 double-eliminations halfway through the season.
